Joining Packwood in Year 7

A highlight of any child’s journey through Packwood is their time in Year 7 and 8. It is perhaps the most important time in their education in terms of their growth in character – a time in which they grow in confidence as individuals, developing important skills such as independence, self-motivation and resilience.

The Year 7 and 8 pupils are the oldest in the school giving them important leadership opportunities. They take on roles such as Monitors (prefects), buddies, librarians and boarding captains as well as lead roles in our co-curricular programme, such as captains of sport and head choristers. Our no mobile phone policy encourages the children to make the most of their time together and all that is on offer at Packwood.

Packwood pupils leave the school at the end of Year 8 as confident, happy individuals, ready for the challenges of senior school and life beyond.
