Pastoral & Boarding

Pastoral Care

A key feature of life at Packwood is the welcoming and genuinely caring atmosphere in the school. All pupils, whether boarders or day pupils, benefit from the close-knit community – it is so much more than a school with many staff and pupils calling Packwood home.

A strong emphasis on pastoral care is at the heart of all that we do. It is important that all pupils feel happy, safe and valued in order to thrive and grow in confidence as they take on the exciting challenges they face every day.

We focus on the development of key skills including communication, collaboration, leadership, empathy, kindness and resilience. Packwood leavers are confident, without arrogance, and are well prepared for life at senior school and beyond.

In short, Packwood pupils are happy and enjoy all aspects of school life.

Communication

The relationship between the School and parents is of paramount importance and Form Tutors play a leading role in this area.

We believe in pro-active communications – Form Tutors will communicate regularly with parents by email, phone or face-to-face. We like to share good news and encourage parents to get in touch at any time with any queries or concerns.
