Packwood’s Year 7 pupils enjoyed a fantastic day of discovery, challenge and collaboration at the Darwin Science Competition, hosted by Shrewsbury School on 19 March.
The event brought together prep schools from the Shrewsbury School Family for a day dedicated to Science. Pupils competed in a series of engaging rounds covering biology, chemistry and physics, testing both their knowledge and their ability to think creatively under pressure. Alongside these subject-specific challenges, the teams also took part in a lively general science quiz.
We are delighted that Packwood emerged as winners of the general science quiz. Beyond the competition itself, the day offered a wonderful opportunity for pupils to meet and connect with peers from across the Shrewsbury School Family, sharing their passion for science and building new friendships. It was, in every sense, a thoroughly enjoyable and enriching day, packed with hands-on science and memorable moments.
Our thanks go to Shrewsbury School for hosting a brilliant event, for their warm welcome and fantastic catering, and for creating an occasion that inspired all who took part.
