65 talented footballers trialled for the Midlands Independent Schools Football Association (ISFA) U13 team. From this competitive selection, just 20 boys were chosen to represent the Midlands, drawn from a wide area spanning Cambridgeshire, Gloucestershire, and Leicestershire.
We are pleased to announce that Ruben (Year 8) was selected from Shropshire, a remarkable achievement that highlights both his talent and dedication.
The team went on to compete in the ISFA U13 National Tournament, held at Haileybury School in Hertfordshire during a three-day residential event at the start of the Easter holidays. Facing strong opposition from across the country, the Midlands team performed exceptionally well, securing victories in four of their seven matches. They claimed wins against teams from the Northwest, Yorkshire & North East, South Central, and Hertfordshire & Essex, with losses to South East, South West, and London Central.
The tournament offered an incredible opportunity for players to test themselves against some of the best young footballers in the country, including boys from Category 1 academies such as Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea.
Congratulations to Ruben on this outstanding achievement and his dedication to training.
