We warmly welcomed Oswestry Rugby Club to Packwood for an exciting afternoon of rugby fixtures. It was fantastic to see such a positive atmosphere around the pitches and particularly pleasing to see all age groups playing, showcasing the strength and enthusiasm for rugby throughout the school.
Across the fixtures, pupils demonstrated excellent teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship. There were some superb passages of play, with strong tackling, confident running, and growing awareness of space and support play. Most importantly, it was wonderful to see players encouraging one another and showing resilience when matches became challenging.
These fixtures were a brilliant example of Packwood’s Big Tree Attributes, especially teamwork, boldness, and growth-mindedness. Pupils embraced the opportunity to play against new opposition and showed great pride in representing the school.
We would like to thank Oswestry Rugby Club for travelling to Packwood and contributing to such an enjoyable and competitive afternoon of rugby, played in excellent spirit throughout.
Well done to all pupils who took part for their fantastic effort, commitment, and attitude on and off the pitch.
