Just as the light sprinkling of snow over Packwood on the day before term started was a teaser, the heavy accumulation across North Shropshire at the end of the first week of term meant only one thing – morning lessons had to be cancelled, the toboggans found quickly, hot chocolate brewed and everyone assembled on the lower meadow for a morning of pure and uninterrupted fun.
In true Packwood style, older children shared toboggan rides with their younger peers, and as if a large hill wasn’t enough, many set about building jumps. A Packwoodian never wastes an opportunity, and the brief snowfall enabled everyone to make the most of it! Our thanks to the team at Packwood who battled to get to school, clear the site and ensure our lunch, afternoon lessons and supper service continued uninterrupted – another true sign of a Packwoodian.
