Sport

With timetabled sessions every afternoon and outstanding grounds, coaches and facilities, sport and healthy living play a central role in life at Packwood. Our ethos centres on ‘participation for all’ as well as ‘standards of excellence’.

Students take part in our core sports programme which includes hockey, football, rugby, netball and year-round-cricket. All pupils are invited to compete in school fixtures as well as House Competitions.

A wide range of additional sports are available including fencing, tennis, athletics, cross-country, lacrosse, swimming, horse riding, golf, mountain biking, basketball and badminton.

Our student leadership programme gives pupils the opportunity to coach, to host, to teach and to run activities, developing their own life skills, personal understanding and confidence.

Whether taking part in their first school fixture, representing their region, or winning a national final, our students strive to develop the skills needed to make personal progress, work together with team mates, guests and our own excellent coaches, and are given the time and space to learn and grow from both failure and success.
