Our Lacrosse players were on superb form on Sunday, playing for the A and B county teams at Stockport Lacrosse Club.
In the Shropshire A team, goalkeeper Sofia was unflinching as she was bombarded with balls, saving the majority. Alice played her best game too and was voted the Shropshire A team MVP of the tournament.
In the Shropshire B team, Captain Francesca held the defensive unit strong and was completely reliable with Sally, her extremely able sidekick. In midfield, Callie and Bella were indefatigable in both attack and defence. Daisy’s athleticism provided quick and strong transitions to the offensive end and Bella was awarded Shropshire B team MVP of the tournament.
The girls won their match against Yorkshire but narrowly lost to Cheshire and Lancashire in both A and B tournaments, finishing third in both. They displayed outstanding teamwork from start to finish and should be very pleased with their performance.
