The Chocolat Show with Classes 3R and 3J was a wonderfully warm and celebratory occasion, giving the children a chance to share something they are genuinely proud of while enjoying a special treat together.
Each child carefully selected a piece of work to present to Mr and Mrs Goldsmith, explaining why it mattered to them and what they had enjoyed or learned through the process. The work on display reflected an impressive breadth of learning across the curriculum, including detailed science practical write-ups, vibrant artwork inspired by the Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama (with the children now beginning to create their own iconic pumpkins!), as well as work from English, Spanish, Maths, and their topic on the Egyptians, among many others.
It was a pleasure to see the confidence with which the children spoke about their achievements and the pride they clearly took in their work. Mr and Mrs Goldsmith were delighted to hear the stories behind each piece and to celebrate the children’s efforts.
Adding to the sense of occasion was the much-anticipated hot chocolate, complete with whipped cream and marshmallows. This simple but special treat created a relaxed and joyful atmosphere, encouraging conversation and celebration.
The Chocolat Show was a lovely reminder of the importance of taking time to recognise effort and achievement. It gave the children a meaningful opportunity to reflect on their learning, build confidence in speaking about their work, and enjoy a shared moment of success in a cosy and supportive setting.
