On Saturday I picked my friend Sako up for the British Youth Championships for fencing. She stayed overnight and then we travelled to Sheffield and stayed in a hotel overnight.
The next day we got up for an early breakfast, and then headed off for the stadium. We arrived in our Packwood Fencing team hoodies and kitted up, got warmed up, checked our swords and then we started the matches. The hall was busy with fencers from all over the country. We all did really well, winning lots of bouts, especially Jonjo, who was placed in the top ten! It was fun to meet other fencers and make new friends. It was a great weekend and we can’t wait to do more fencing club sessions with Mr Weston.
