Children gathered around a table making colourful patterns together

Acorns Learn About India

As part of their India topic, Packwood Acorns recently enjoyed a workshop learning about Buddhism and Hinduism. Some of them dressed up as Kings, Queens, Princes and Princesses and enjoyed listening to various stories about these characters. They had the opportunity to have a close look at some interesting artefacts, such as statues, shells and instruments, and used a singing bowl to practise their meditative breathing techniques.

They were also visited by Billy’s Uncle Harish, who kindly came to teach them about India. They listened carefully to a fascinating presentation full of facts about India. They learnt about Diwali, enjoyed dancing, painting clay pots and making Rangoli patterns. A wonderful way to start their week!
