Packwood pupils choosing a Christmas Tree

Acorns Prepare for Christmas

Each year Acorns have the very important task of choosing the Christmas tree for the Acorns department.  Packwood has its own Christmas tree plantation and every December coloured card is attached to the trees that are ready to be harvested.  The Acorns carefully inspect the trees, checking for greenness, width, height and suitability for the Acorns lobby.  They all vote for their favourite tree.  The children then watch the most popular tree being felled and help to carry it back to the Acorns Department.  Reception had the honour of decorating this year’s tree.

It is an extremely busy final week of term, in the run up to the eagerly anticipated Nativity performance.  This year the children will be performing a nativity play, ‘Christmas Time Told in Rhyme’ which has been written by Packwood’s Director of Music, Mrs Boutwood.  There is much excitement among the Acorns in anticipation of putting on a spectacular performance for parents.
