The Packwood minibuses magically transported the Acorns to the land of the dinosaurs, otherwise known as Shrewsbury Museum. They had an exciting morning learning all about the dinosaurs and helping the curators create an exhibition. The children learned how to identify different types of dinosaur by looking at their feet and teeth. To help them learn they took part in six different activities. They considered whether each dinosaur was an omnivore, a carnivore or a herbivore; they identified and measured different dinosaur footprints; they made their own fossils; searched for relics; created dinosaur skeletons and fact files. They concluded their visit by sharing everything they had learned. Everyone had a wonderful morning and returned to school as dinosaur experts.
