Guided by Martin from Architecture Workshops, Reception through to Year 7 worked collaboratively to bring to life dowels and rubber bands, creating magnificent structures, skyscrapers, a Greek temple, Viking longships and The Taj Mahal (to name a few).
The Architecture Workshop has inspired Packwood pupils to embrace their creativity whilst using very simple materials and hands as their tools. They have tested the strengths of various shapes to create unimaginable giant structures that were even lifted off the ground.
Throughout the workshops, emphasis was placed on encouraging problem-solving skills, with the realization that height alone does not always achieve success. It was more the ingenuity and uniqueness of their creations that set them apart.
