This week and last saw our inaugural form group performances, starting with the two Form 5 classes, in which each form gave a presentation to their parents to show a recent achievement.
5G pupils demonstrated outstanding resourcefulness, teamwork, boldness and tenacity as they prepared for and presented their informal performance to parents and staff. The children confidently shared a wonderful range of achievements and interests, with some reading poems, others reading extracts from their favourite books, and several showcasing their own original poetry.
We were also treated to a piano performance and learned fascinating facts about African animals. It was a delight to see the pupils supporting one another and presenting with such enthusiasm, confidence and pride in their accomplishments.
5R’s presentation also included their own poetry, interspersed with a wide variety of musical items – piano, French horn, saxophone, singing and glockenspiel solos.
The Old Library was the ideal venue to create an informal, friendly and relaxed atmosphere, putting the young performers at ease. It was wonderful to see everyone in the year group standing up in front of an audience and being proud of their achievements – a lovely, worthwhile event for all.
