Packwood’s senior girls’ cricket team showcased their skill, teamwork, and passion for the game as they claimed victory at the North Shropshire Lady Taverners Cricket Tournament on 28th February at Moreton Hall. Competing in a round-robin format, the team delivered an impressive performance, winning all four of their matches.
The tournament was a testament to the team’s dedication and development, with each player making valuable contributions. Jasmine and Martha provided strong starts with their opening partnerships, with Martha retiring three times and Jasmine twice. Behind the stumps, Luna’s wicket keeping was exceptional, with no byes conceded. The bowling was equally impressive, with Lulie leading the way in taking wickets and all bowlers contributing brilliantly.
The tournament highlighted the team’s commitment, camaraderie, and love for the game. Their success reflects the hard work put in during training and their ability to perform under pressure.
