As ever, it has been a busy couple of weeks in the boys’ house. We have been particularly impressed with the Year 8s, who have been leading by example and earning plenty of boarding greens, which are awarded for acts of kindness and helpfulness. Their considerate attitude has ensured that this has been an extremely positive term for all of the boys and long may this continue. There have been many activities on offer in the evenings and the boys have embraced them all with their usual enthusiasm from ‘nerfwars’ to lego challenges and the return of an old favourite now that the nights are drawing in: ‘Searchlight’.
In breaking news, the Boys House has been given a new name. The boys suggested a variety of names (all brilliant but some rather more fitting than others) and after a tense vote, the clear winner was ‘The Warren’ which was felt by all to describe the homely nature of the house, along with its many corridors, rather well.
We have also considered the qualities we wish to instil within our boarding community and have chosen the following: KINDNESS, COURAGE and HUMILITY. We are all looking forward to supporting the children to develop these qualities as they live and learn together here at Packwood.
