The new year started with great excitement throughout the school, as it always does, but on this occasion it was especially so for the staff in the Science department. Having spent last year watching the development of the new building and with increasing eagerness to get into the labs and start teaching, in all honesty we couldn’t be more thrilled with the final result. Packwood now has the Science facilities that will continue to help enthuse children about the subject for many years to come. Mr Jones put it very eloquently, commenting ‘I have taught here for 40 years and never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that I would teach in such a facility’.
We are delighted to have three, superbly appointed and equipped laboratories. We are in a very rare position of being able to teach Science to all children from Y3 upwards in these amazing labs. We have all felt the positive impact it has already had in providing the perfect environment to experiment, investigate and enjoy Science.
