This term has been an exciting one for our international boarding community, as we have welcomed pupils from a range of countries for both short-term immersion experiences and longer stays within the school.
One of the most rewarding aspects of international boarding is seeing pupils grow in confidence as they settle into school life, develop friendships and become fully involved in the opportunities available to them – whether in the classroom, on the sports field, in music and drama, or simply enjoying everyday life in the boarding house.
As a school, we continue to develop the support and induction we offer international pupils and their families, ensuring that every child feels welcomed, supported and included from the moment they join us. Peer friendships, pastoral care and strong communication with families all play an important role in helping pupils thrive during their time here. The wider Packwood community continues to be incredibly welcoming, with several families opening their homes to include our international pupils over the recent bank holiday exeat weekend.
We look forward to welcoming more international pupils over the coming terms and to continuing to celebrate the cultural diversity and global perspective they bring to our school community.
