Year 5 are thoroughly enjoying their Hinduism topic this term.
Just before half term, they had a visit from the Hinduism Education Company. Krishna brought with her a colourful array of Indian artefacts and everyone enjoyed learning about Hindu stories, culture, dance and philosophy.
The children re-enacted the story of Rama and Sita. They dressed up in saris and turbans and role-played various characters from the story.
The children also learnt how to dance an Indian traditional stick dance. It was a valuable introduction to an exciting part of our Theology, Philosophy and Religion syllabus.
