The Acorns gave their first performance of the year on Friday. The theme was Diwali and this was reflected through the songs and poems they performed. They sang songs that they had learned with Mrs Boutwood on the theme of goodness and light. Year 1 recited a poem on the theme of light, while Year 2 performed Shine a Light, both singing and using Makaton hand signs. Reception provided colourful movement to the song with their multi-coloured scarves. The Assembly was rounded off with the traditional slide show showing the vast array of activities the children have taken part in this term.
