The spring term has been a busy and exciting time for music and drama at Packwood, with pupils embracing a wide range of performance opportunities. Most recently, our Junior Concert hosted in the school theatre, where our young musicians confidently took to the stage to perform a variety of pieces on piano, string and woodwind instruments. It was a wonderful occasion, enjoyed by an appreciative audience of parents, grandparents and family members, and a fantastic showcase of the talent and dedication of our budding performers.
Our talented school dancers recently took to the stage at Theatre Severn as part of the vibrant Gotta Dance showcase, performing alongside a range of highly accomplished dance troupes.
Three of our groups proudly represented the school: one junior group and two senior groups, each bringing their own unique style and energy to the performance. The junior dancers delighted the audience with their recent routine from the Weaver Dance Workshop, demonstrating impressive confidence and enthusiasm.
A newly formed senior group, made up of pupils from Form 7 and 8, captivated the audience with a dynamic futuristic sci-fi routine, showcasing both creativity and strong teamwork. Meanwhile, our third group performed their established and much-loved piece, Araignée, delivering a polished and expressive performance.
All three groups have dedicated themselves to rehearsals throughout the spring term, and this commitment was evident on stage. What truly stood out, however, was not only their technical ability, but also their teamwork, mutual encouragement, and genuine enthusiasm. These qualities shone through in every performance and made us incredibly proud, especially as they shared the stage with such experienced dance companies.
Well done to all of our dancers for representing the school so brilliantly.
