Reception have made a fantastic start to the term, settling in with confidence, curiosity and a real enthusiasm for their learning. We have begun our exciting new topic on India, learning about how people live in different ways. The children have already explored the vibrant sights and sounds of Indian markets, even setting up their own role-play area to bring their learning to life.
The children are becoming increasingly adventurous writers, showing remarkable progress in their confidence to write and use sounds to spell independently. Alongside this, they have been exploring the composition of number, developing a deeper understanding of how numbers are made and how they relate to one another.
In Forest School, the children are embracing their role as ‘Guardians of Nature’, developing a growing understanding of how to care for and protect our environment. It has been wonderful to see their imagination, independence and sense of responsibility flourish as they learn through play and exploration.
