Grandparents’ Day is always a much-anticipated highlight of the Packwood calendar, and this year’s event was no exception. Blessed with glorious sunshine, the school grounds were in full bloom, and the tables were adorned with flowers gathered from our gardens.
Our guests enjoyed tea and coffee before being greeted by their grandchildren, who proudly took on the role of tour guides. With great enthusiasm, the children led their grandparents around the campus, sharing their favourite spots and daily routines. Some grandparents commented they had hit their daily step count before lunch with so much to explore!
The morning’s activities were followed by a glass of fizz and a delicious lunch in the dining room with a welcome from Will, the Head. It was a lovely opportunity for grandparents to connect with one another and with Packwood staff. Huge thanks to the catering team for providing a superb meal.
The afternoon continued with a lively Sixes (House) cricket match, where the children showcased their sporting spirit. This was followed by one of Packwood’s infamous match teas served on the terrace – a perfect end to a memorable celebration of family, community, and school life.
