Always an absolute treat in the school calendar, Bonfire Night at Packwood did not disappoint. A tradition that should burn long into the future, there is something rather magical about the community gathering together as winter sets in. A surprise this year was the way our trees had been beautifully lit, thanks to the generosity of one of our Acorns parents – particularly poignant was the Remembrance Copse lit up in red. A large bonfire was lit at 6.15pm as everyone enjoyed their hot chocolates and hot dogs, before Eliot and Jimmy Mullock set an impressive array of fireworks off to round off the evening. Thank you to everyone for their support in what is by some stretch the Headmaster’s favourite night of the year, and I hope high up in everyone’s list!
