We were delighted to welcome families to the theatre on Thursday 26th February for the annual Form 3 and 4 open assembly. This event is an opportunity for Form 3 and 4 pupils to perform in front of family and friends in order to develop key presentation and teamwork skills with the aim of fostering self-confidence over time. This year it was an ensemble style performance of an abridged version of ‘Alice in Wonderland’.
Form 3 and 4 worked together to create their own version of Wonderland. This included a scene where Form 3 ‘fell down the rabbit hole’, and a giant caterpillar created by every member of both year groups. Of course, the story wouldn’t be complete without the queen’s infamous tea party as well as a game of croquet played with a flamingo and a hedgehog.
We are extremely proud of Form 3 and 4 who all rose to the challenge, supporting one another on stage, speaking clearly and presenting confidently to an audience, proudly demonstrating our Big Tree attributes of boldness and teamwork.
Thanks to all the staff and families involved and congratulations to all the children – we’re excited to see what they’ll do next!
