Form 7 Bushcraft Camp at Camp Plas

Form 7 enjoyed a memorable 24-hour adventure at Camp Plas, an idyllic retreat nestled in the heart of mid-Wales. Led by Adam and Casha from Wild Bushcraft, the pupils embraced the outdoors with enthusiasm making the very most of every moment together as they prepare to return in Form 8 in September.

Over the course of the camp, they learnt essential bushcraft skills, including the art of fire lighting, before putting their newfound abilities to good use by preparing and cooking their own delicious pizzas over the open fire. They also worked collaboratively to build woodland dens, demonstrating impressive creativity and resourcefulness.

As evening fell, everyone gathered around the fire pit to toast marshmallows and enjoy the unique atmosphere of camping beneath a sky full of stars. An early start the following morning was rewarded with a refreshing 7am swim in the river – a wonderfully invigorating way to begin the day before packing up camp.

It was a fantastic 24 hours away.
