Adventure Activities and Fabulous Food for Packwood Boarders

Our boarders have enjoyed a busy few weeks which have included indoor sports, ‘manhunt’, a wonderful St. David’s Day menu, archery, assault courses and cooking.

Wednesday evenings are always popular – the opportunity to dress in home clothes, enjoy some free time with friends and participate in various activities is always exciting. One of these choices is Mr. Chambers’ debating club. He has gathered some fine debaters who will be enjoying a ‘balloon debate’; sharing their knowledge in front of an audience.

We have also tasted quite different fayre brought to us by the fantastic catering staff. The St. David’s Day menu, complete with Welsh cakes and a chicken and leek hotpot, was a real delight. We are all looking forward to St. Patrick’s Day next!

There has been plenty of energy exerted in the sports hall with Mr. Robertson’s manhunt along with indoor cricket, football and rounders making a comeback. On Sunday 5th March, some of the boarders sampled the activities on offer at Love2Stay. They thoroughly enjoyed the archery and a very challenging assault course, which they tackled with grit and determination to face their fears. Many trying the climbing net again and again! It was wonderful to see the children supporting each other and enjoying their achievements together.

The final few weeks of term are looking just as busy and full of entertainment.
