Evening hot chocolate with whipped cream, games of hide and seek and sardines, Moroccan bread cooked on an open fire and the joy of catching up after a long Summer break has filled the Warren over the past few weeks. Mounir, Tachfin, Afilal and I are thoroughly enjoying getting to know the boarders, learning their traditions and habits and introducing some of our own. The first two weekends were very busy for our full boarders with trips to JumpIn, laser tag and shopping in Shrewsbury as well as pompom making and lots of time built in for tree climbing, conker collecting, and making the most of the Great Outdoors.
The practical side of boarding has also had a little facelift as we expand provision for the Junior Girls. It is a testament to Packwood’s strong tradition for boarding that the girls’ corridor was already full after week one! After popping the breaks on new sign-ups for Friday night boarding, we are very happy to announce that normal service has resumed.
