This term sees the launch of the Paperclip Trophy (Jebb Prize), which will be regularly awarded to the group or individual that has demonstrated a desire to make the world a better place.
The Prize honours the memory of humanitarian, Eglantyne Jebb (1876 – 1928), whose family has very close ties with Packwood.
This term, 4P have been declared winners of the inaugural prize, following a competition for each form to collect as much as they could for the local food bank. 4P worked together to bring in individual items for the Shrewsbury food bank and each of them donated a variety of food items and products, including toiletries and pet food.
They brought the most items in and used a little bit of lateral thinking about who would receive the items. Teamwork and creative thinking meant one of the smallest and youngest forms won the challenge for the most engaged, the most weight and the most items.
Well done to all of 4P for demonstrating the ‘Big Tree’ attributes of Teamwork, Resourcefulness, Empathy and Excellence.
