At the beginning of the Autumn term, Packwood welcomed Mr. Tim Leverton-Griffiths as Head of Boarding. This new role has been established to support Packwood’s flourishing boarding community.
Mr Leverton-Griffiths has joined Packwood following five years as a Housemaster at Harrow International School, Hong Kong, prior to which he worked at schools in Dubai and the UK. Originally from Cornwall, he is married to Kirsten, a teacher and educational writer. They have two children – their eldest has joined Packwood as a gap student, and their youngest has joined Shrewsbury School.
Mr Leverton-Griffiths was drawn to Packwood due to the beautiful school site and the warmth and friendliness of the school community. In addition to his role as Head of Boarding, he teaches Maths and Sport, he is a form teacher and a keen cricket and football player.
A variety of new events are planned for the boarding community for the year ahead, with a focus on celebrating different cultures, traditions and cuisines from across the globe. There is a very strong sense of community at Packwood, and this programme of events is intended to help enhance this sense of community, and indeed adventure, even further.
